Maryland has until March 15, 2018 to issue a decision about TransCanada’s application to build a pipeline under the Potomac River. That’s less than two months away, yet the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) is giving no signs that they are conducting a full review of the proposed pipeline’s impact on our water quality according to the Clean Water Act.
We have less than 2 months to protect our land-owners in WV where the pipeline may be running just outside of their property boundaries, yet they have no say, or land-owners who were bullied into signing wihout enough information, and now wish they didn’t. Less than 2 months for our three land-owners who are currently battling Mountaineer Gas over eminent domain charges, including the Kesecker’s land, 7th generation farmers, from Morgan Co, WV.
If Maryland can STOP the TransCanada connector line, it will stall and potentially stop the Mountaineer Gas pipeline in WV.
So, we are bringing our fight to Annapolis to tell Governor Hogan to DO HIS JOB and protect all of us from the harmful effects this pipeline would have on America’s River, the Potomac and our drinking water!!
